We acquired certification for Information Security Management System (ISMS), an international standard, and take the safety measures that are appropriate for information assets including personal information.

Most importantly, all employees including management must stay highly aware of information security and respect security in their behaviors to ensure appropriate safety measures are taken for the diverse information assets we receive from customers and protect them from loss, theft, misuse, etc., based on a strong awareness of the fact that our activities require trust-based relationships with customers and for the purpose of retaining the trust of customers and providing better services. Based on this understanding, we acquired the ISMS (Ver.2.0) certification of all of our business operations and have received a review every year.

Placing importance on our responsibilities in the pharmaceutical field, we also exercise utmost care when sharing information. More specifically, we have established an internal legal affairs and compliance division and a system for complying with laws where our employees with attorney’s licenses review each and every sentence written in our product packages, e-commerce sites, websites, social media, direct mail, signboards, posters and any other media we use to communicate information to people outside the company.

As a manufacturer of oral care products and medical devices, WHITEESSENCE exercises the utmost care in the selection of materials suppliers. Whenever we begin transactions with a new business partner, we examine data about the partner from research companies and the like and ensure that the partner satisfies certain requirements in terms of size, financial standing and reputation within the industry. At the same time, seeking coexistence, co-prosperity and mutual growth with business partners is another important mission of ours. For example, our business plan ensures compliance by clearly stating that we avoid excessive negotiations for price reductions.

WHITEESSENCE possesses and manages many patents (intellectual property rights). For example, WHITE ESSENCE Whitening Pro, our main product, has acquired a domestic patent for use as an original whitener containing hydrogen carbonate. (Patent number: 5615968) Recently, we developed a toothbrush with a crystal motif. An application for a patent for the design of the product has been filed (as of September 2021). We are always committed to the development of exceptionally novel technology which deserves to be patented, and to the supply of products with high added value. Going forward, we will also consider the acquisition of overseas patents with a view toward expansion into the Asian market.
